This is a great establishment. The interior is elegant. Open kitchen concept allows you to see the food being prepared. My only suggestion is that on hot summer days they offer extensive salad and cold food options. The waitress was very sweet and helpful. The arancinis were excellent and so was the grilled octopus . Excellent wine selection.
It must be five years since I was at bottega, it was very satisfying to return. Promptly seated four of us at our reservation time. Looking at the wine list I was very surprised at its value, we had a nice Etna Sicilian white wine for $54 which I looked up retails for $27 so just a two times markup over retail. We ordered two salad capreses, they were beautiful but I don't think they were heirloom and they certainly were not ripe tomatoes. Not sweet not super flavorful. One couple ordered the carbonara pasta for splitting for two, and it was very nice that they it in the kitchen and put an egg yolk on each serving. A different spin on carbonara but it was very good. Corkage is $35 (high) but waived if you buy a bottle. We had a nice time we'll go back our service was excellent, my only nit is don't clear the table until all of the diners are finished!
We'd wanted to try Bottega for a long time, and weren't disappointed after finally getting a chance. The space is so warm and comfortable. It's pretty much what you expect when you're in wine country. Cocktails were very good, and not overly expensive. This was the last night of our vacation and we'd pretty much had enough wine to last us awhile, so we opted out. But, the wine by the glass options were plentiful and very reasonably priced. Service was polished, but maybe a bit rushed; the meal was very quick, but dishes didn't come out on top of each other. We would have preferred to linger a bit between course. My wife had the Carbonara prepared with a charcoal fettuccine. She's usually not that adventurous, and kind of a Carbonara-snob, but she did like this dish a lot. I had the Gnocchi, which was lighter than any I've had before. Each piece literally melted in my mouth, and the simple tomato sauce was perfect for the dish. For dessert, we had the Zeppoles, which were more like a cross between doughnut holes and Zeppole St. Joseph; meaning that they were lighter than the typical fried pizza dough offered on the East Coast and filled with lightly sweet custard. All in all, a very good meal, and not particularly pricey given the area. We'd definitely go again.
We went here for dinner and arrived as walk ins on a Sunday night of the long weekend. We were seated immediately and were able to enjoy the evening on the outdoor patio. This restaurant is on the Estate and the space is quaint and lovely to walk around. The staff were friendly and attentive. We got the burrata which was a fresh start to the meal. I had the spaghetti alla Sophia Loren which was a simple but had great flavour. I was happy with the portion size since it was not too heavy. My fiance got the rigatoni al coniglio which was much heavier. The flavour was lovely and rich and the rabbit was tender. To finish, we had the lychee sorbet which was very smooth and light and had a great lychee flavour. I'd love to return and try their other pastas!
The spaghetti alla Sophia Loren was our favorite! We were told this was made for her 30th birthday and this is the only pasta they don't make in house: they import it from Italy. Our server's suggestion was to try it without the sauce before mixing it for two different experiences. The flavors in just the pasta cooked in the tomato sauce alone were fantastic...and this is coming from a self proclaimed sauce aficionado! The carbonara al carbone was unique with the charcoal pasta which had crunchy little bits in the already al dente pasta. It actually ended up being quite saucy after a good mix of the egg yolk and parm. The rigatoni al coniglio was our least favorite. The rabbit was like chicken and the entire dish was way too salty. The crusty bread with garlic topping is divine. They do charge $2/pp for that and water! I love how they automatically split the pasta dishes for us when we told them we were sharing. Shout out to Brayant for the excellent service! 3.5 stars for the food 4.5 stars for the service 4 stars overall
This place had the best truffle fries I've ever had. To this day, I'm still drooling thinking about it. It was so crispy and not greasy. Just amazing with the perfect level of truffle oil and Parmesan. This is a perfect date night restaurant. The place is quiet and romantically lit with gorgeous plating for their food. Highly recommend!
Bottega is awesome. We had an excellent lunch there comprising gluten-free calamari for an appetizer, while my wife had a gluten-free Bolognese, and I had the rigatoni with rabbit, which was magical. Additionally, the calamari was tantalizingly tasty, meticulously battered and fried to perfection. From the libation end, the Negroni cocktails were fabulous and meticulously well-made. My wife and I ordered the Negroni Royale and Pink Panther, which were gorgeous not only in taste but also in presentation. Additionally, the Negroni Spritz was another standout within their cocktail roster. We savored each sip, which was a nice contrast to all the wine we sampled and tasted on our trip to the vineyards thus far. Our server, Brian, was incredibly friendly and patient with us and provided recommendations if we were undecided on certain items, especially those that could be gluten-free. Their dining room is quite dark and luxurious, with brick walls and black drapes. The ambiance created allowed for a very intimate lunch experience in contrast to the bright, sunny skies outside. We would return in a heartbeat.
